Cold Turkey- Prozac, seperation, cold
My husband has bipolar disorder and is on Lithium and Buspar but was on Prozac. His provider increased his dose to 20mg and he disconnected. Ruminating on past arguments, saying he doesn’t feel desired, appreciated and respected anymore. He has now asked for a separation after 17 years of marriage like it’s nothing. Said “We gave it a good go” but we just aren’t good for each other anymore.
I sat down and read him some of the cards he has given me over the years in hopes he would remember how he felt and all he said was “you should put those in numerical order.”
He stopped taking the Prozac cold turkey, I know the side effects so no need to tell me, that was his choice.
I hate this. I’m so angry. I hate this drug. It also caused him to start drinking more which led to a DUI last summer and now he takes a monthly
Injection to help with alcohol cravings.
Thoughts?
