Changes in weight

Weight gain

These drugs affect your insulin so they effectively give you a drug- induced diabetes…hence the weight gain.
Taper for at least half the time you have been on Zoloft. For example, if you have been taking Zoloft for 2 years take at least 1 year to get off.

Sert kills good gut bacteria

I could be wrong, but I think this stuff (sertraline) kinda kills your good bacterial in your gut. I gained 35 lbs in a year on Zoloft. I got off and still couldn’t lose weight. Like not even a pound even tho I was eating right and working out . I started taking a good probiotic and suddenly I was losing weight. I’m now down 20 lbs. Getting my gut health together helped me a little. Try adding probiotics or even just cottage cheese, yogurt, kimchi etc

Lose the Sert, lose the weight

I gained weight very quickly in this medication. Eventually I did lose it but it was really hard took three times longer to lose than gain. Still half a stone heavier than when I started but it is doable… I don’t think it’ll happen if you are still on the medication. I’m no longer on it. Good luck.

Gained on zo

Gained 50 lbs on Zoloft over 5 years. Lost 20lb after halving my dose within 2 months

yep

Yes, that’s one reason I’m trying to get off of them

Metabolism

Yeah the exhaustion and weight gain combo is so common when tapering multiple meds like that. Prozac and Wellbutrin especially mess with your metabolism and appetite regulation.
